  • Love Is Strange Hollywood Movie Review

LOVE IS STRANGE, a film, unaffectedly coordinated by Ira Sachs, is so regular and unassuming in its depiction of connections that the partition amongst group of onlookers and the characters on the screen vanishes; we are straightforwardly slipping into their lives without breaking a sweat of commonality. There is a formal stunner to the motion picture, because of the cinematography of Christos Voudouris – the way he catches every space – portrayed through stylistic theme, as well as through the light which changes with the environment, especially like a Chardin still-life painting, great in its magnificence and quiet.

The plot rotates around two gay men who have lived respectively for a long time lastly get hitched, a choice that will modify their lives in ways that are surprising and changing. We initially meet Ben, a seventy-one year old craftsman, (John Lithgow in a stunning execution) and his accomplice George (Alfred Molina in a similarly fine depiction,) a music instructor in a Catholic school – both enthusiastically, and apprehensively get ready for the function and the post-wedding party. From the minute we first view Lithgow and Molina singing a two part harmony together – their voices and showy behavior in sync and at chances – delicate closeness is evident. Ira Sachs and co-essayist Mauricio Zacharias have made two strikingly delicate and adoring people, their closeness and persevering association, is both downplayed and intensely energetic.
